You can protect birds by placing your feeder in the correct location.

Startled birds explode in all directions from a feeder. For this reason, the best place to locate your feeder is very close, within TWO FEET, of your home or window. This way, startled birds fly AWAY from your house and windows. The next best place is OVER 30 FEET away. This allows startled birds time to avoid your house and windows. (5 to 25 feet is the danger zone!)
